Medical Specialty Aptitude Test

The University of Virginia School of Medicine has posted a Medical Specialty Aptitude test to help medical students choose a specialty. Med Student reader or not, everyone should try it out, and see where they fall. It would be fun, especially for the doctors/ med student wives to share with their spouses.

Here are my top five results:

1 aerospace med
2 obstetrics/gynecology
3 rheumatology
4 pediatrics
5 plastic surgery

I was pleased that obstetrics/gynecology and pediatrics made the list. I find it interesting that aerospace medicine is on the list. My father is a private pilot and volunteers to teach children to fly planes, so i started flying planes when I was 9 years old and have a student pilots license. My father would be please if i chose aerospace medicine, but I don't think thats for me.
